Lies

Don't ever apologize for holding and maintaining a passionate stance against evil in the is world.  You DO LIE Mr. Obama, and we will not tolerate it.

What do we do?

I was thinking today about this world we live in.  Its the only one we've got.  Its our only shot.  We only get one life to live.  What do we do with it?  How do we make the best of our time?  I am so very disappointed with the world we live in.  If its not one thing, its another.  We fight in wars, we poison the food we eat, we corrupt ourselves, we are overcome with greed, we hate.  How did we get here?  How did we let it get this far?
Why do pharmaceutical companies put products on the market that kill people?  How do food manufacturers sell food that is harmful to us?  How do they get away with all of this?  I don't understand how someone could be so evil that they knowingly produce something that will inevitably kill of thousands, maybe millions of people?  Why isn't everything grown organically?  It doesn't make sense.  Why, if organic is the best and isn't full of harmful chemicals, isn't that the only standard?  How can people manufacture food they know is full of toxic substances?
Why do we abuse drugs so much?  I'm not talking about illegal drugs either.  I'm talking about the stuff available at your own local pharmacy.  Our world has become so obsessed with antibacterial this and antibiotic that, that we have huge pandemics.  That bacteria has learned how to mutate and resist the penicillin we insist on taking every time we get a scratchy throat. It makes me so sad because we've done this to ourselves.  We have no one else to blame.  We can't blame the bacteria because we gave it a small dose of antibiotics, not enough to kill it, and it learned how to fight it.  Much like our immune systems are supposed to do.  Get a little virus, make antibodies to fight it and become immune.  Thats how are body is supposed to work.  Instead we bombard it with unnecessary chemicals and prevent it from doing its job.  Guess what people?   Bacteria wins.  It will take over eventually because we don't listen.  We don't take care of ourselves because we've become so dependent on drugs to do it for us.  Its pathetic.  I'm ashamed of all of us.  Who let this happen?  Why?  Who controls all of this?
The government.  Lets face it people, our government is corrupt.  And I'm not talking about Obama for all of you liberals out there getting ready to get your panties in a twist.  I mean, seriously, he's merely a puppet for the bigger players.  The people that no one hears about.  Our president is simply a mouthpiece, sent out to be the scapegoat for the real dictators.  Same as Bush was.  The only difference is that Obama speaks well.  So did Hitler.  Its not their fault.  Republican, Democrat.  Who cares.  It doesn't matter.  The real question is, when will it all stop?  I was driving in the car today, thinking about all of this and a song came on the radio.  It was John Mayer "Waiting on the World to Change."  Right at that very moment.  It was almost like God was saying, "I hear you and I'm sad too."  So I started to really listen to the lyrics and one part stood out to me.  "We trust the television, what we get is what we got.  But when they own the information, they can bend it all they want." That couldn't be more true.  Don't believe the hype you hear on tv people.  Its very biased and we only hear what "they" want us to hear.  And they deceive us all.  I never used to care about any of this.  But I'm a mother now.  I see the future in my daughter's eyes.  What kind of world are we creating for her and all of the other children?  We live in a world where we hate, lie, steal, cheat and kill.  Yes, there are many wonderful things in life too.  But turn on the tv and you tell me what you hear.  The good, or the bad.  When will it all stop?  When will I get the chance to tell my daughter that this world we live in isn't corrupt?  Sadly, the answer is never.  My husband has been trying to get me to see all of this for a long time.  And it used to annoy me.  Not because I thought he was crazy or a conspiracy theorist or just someone who believed what anybody would tell him.  It was because, deep down, I didn't want to believe it.  I wanted to live in my ignorant bubble of bliss and pretend that the world was good, and our food wasn't poisoned and our government wanted the best for all of us and that medicine was to help us feel better.  I owe you an apology, honey.  You've been right all along.  I just didn't want to see it.  It scares me to raise kids in this world.  But I know that what we teach them will be the truth.  And I know that our faith in God will help shield us from the evil.  For anyone who reads this who has kids, will have kids, or has kids that they love in their life, think about what kind of world we are leaving behind for them.  And lets all do our part to make it better.  God Bless.

Fair weather friends...

Here is one thing that royally pisses me off... fair weather friends.  You know who they are.  The "friends" who only call you when they need something from you, or want to go where you're going, or are desperate to accumulate as many people in their circle as possible.  I, myself, am not a fair weather friend.  I am there through thick and thin.  When you're doing fun stuff, AND boring stuff.  I'm the friend who will always call or text to try to make plans.  I'm the friend who will always want to reconnect.  I keep in touch as best as I can and am always down for just getting together for  coffee or mojo.  I am not, however, a high maintenance friend.  You know who they are if you have them.  They get mad if you don't call them every month or if you don't regularly check in with them.  They all of a sudden have beef with you if out of the blue you call or text or myspace or facebook them after some time has passed.  You're the bad friend for not keeping in touch.  Why can't people just find the happy medium?  I don't understand it.  This is how I think it should be:  If I call you, then I think out of respect, you should CALL me back.  Don't text or email.  Now on the other hand, if I text you, then calling or texting is a perfectly acceptable form of a response. (by the way, I think this is ridiculous that I have to define this shit, but some people are a-holes who apparently are lost on this concept.)  Now if I call, I believe that its customary to call back that same day.  Unless its not possible, then a "Sorry, I'm super swamped. Call you when I can" text is acceptable.  Be prompt when returning text messages.  The only reason I'm doing this is because I've had my share of shitty friends and I'm sure that I've been one a time or two.  I feel as though I have found a balance.  Other people need to take note.  If we haven't talked in a while, and I call you, please enjoy our catching up and don't use it as an excuse to make me feel bad for not being in touch.  You have a phone too smarty, you know how to use it.  I seriously have "friends" who haven't even made one effort to make plans with me so they can see my daughter.  Ya, these people call themselves friends.  That's really shitty.  So, thats my opinion on friends.  To all my "real" friends:  Thank you , I love you and you kick ass!   To everyone else, (they know who they are) lose my number!  Thanks peeps, good night! :)

Here we go..

Ok, so I knew it wouldn't be long before someone did something that irritated me.  Please, please, please do your research before you go running your mouth about politics and healthcare.  For those of you who are in support of socialized healthcare, I have news for you.  Did it ever occur to you that the word socialized sounds a lot like "socialism". Hmmm, I wonder why.  Listen people, the great thing about our country is that it was founded on capitalism.   I know that universal healthcare sounds great at first, but the people who have actually looked at BOTH sides, not just Michael Moore's side, understand that this is not necessarily a good thing.  It makes it extremely hard to get ANY healthcare whatsoever.  You will have extremely long wait times and people who are over a certain age won't even get considered for certain medical procedures or treatments because the government sees that as a waste of money because they are too old.  That doesn't sound very fair. Whatever happened to everyone having the same rights?  Isn't that what makes us America?  Let me reiterate that this is only my opinion, and you may agree or disagree, its your choice.  I'm simply saying, please do the research and look at both sides of ANY argument.  Don't get sucked in by the hype.  Remember, Hitler was a tremendous public speaker, too.

Don't irritate me...

Hello all!  I will be blogging here from now on because I realize that I have quite a lot on my mind and I think that people will benefit from my opinion.... probably not, but you know you want to know it anyway.  Otherwise, you wouldn't be here.  Anything that I write on here is strictly my opinion and only that.  I'm sure I will say things to offend some people on here and others will totally agree with me.  Either way, they're my thoughts and I don't care if you agree or disagree.  Just know that my intent is to have a laugh at myself, vent frustrations with this world, and to generally entertain myself and hopefully others.  I'm sure I will talk about celebrities because, c'mon, lets face it, how can you NOT talk about them.  I will talk about motherhood and marriage because that is my life.  I will talk about family and all of the good, bad and ugly that goes along with that.  I will probably talk about YOU at some point in time.  I will tell you all what irritates me, drives me, elates me, and everything in between.... so get ready, you are all about to get a peek into my mind's eye.  Enjoy the ride folks, I'll be here all night!
